Coborand pe DN 73 de la Predeal spre Rasnov, observi imediat diferentele dintre Tara Romaneasca si Transilvania, fie ele in arhitectura locuintelor, fie relieful, fie oamenii. Cetatea o zaresti imediat cum intri in localitate, impunatoare, dominand inaltimile orasului de pe stanca pe care este construita. Mi-a placut faptul ca accesul este facil atat cu masina, cu tractorasul de la baza, dar si cu piciorul, ultima varianta fiind preferata mea.

Cetatea este inconjurata de un prim zid de aparare (care se afla in reconditionare), dupa care se intra in prima curte a cetatii. Aici se pot vedea ruinele unei biserici (probabil, dupa forma pietrelor). Un mic exercitiu de imaginatie ma duce cu gandul la forfota taranimii medievale din curtea cetatii, atat in zilele de negot, de sarbatoare dar si in momentele in care toata comunitatea se retragea in cetate din fata navalitorilor.

Continuand vizita, la intrarea in cetatea propriu-zisa, dupa cumpararea biletelor (10 lei-adult/5 lei-copil sau student), intram pe un culoar in curtea interioara unde putem vedea cateva cladiri inca bine pastrate unde functioneaza magazine de suveniruri si mici muzee ale cetatii, dar si ziduri daramate, inca nerefacute. Tot aici am urcat in cel mai inalt punct alt cetatii de unde se poate admira o superba panorama a Tarii Barsei si a oraselor Rasnov, Cristian, Vulcan s.a.. Exista de asemenea si 2 telescoape cu care se pot admira mai bine zarile.

Dupa un mic periplu pe la magazinele de suveniruri, ajugem la o alta curticica unde este fantana cetatii, in care se poate cobora contra cost, dar si o frumoasa gradina cu trandafiri, simbolul cetatii si al orasului.

Aspectul cetatii nu este unul militar, nu iese in evidenta la fel ca cetatea Neamtului sau a Sucevei prin multe elemente de aparare, fiind o cetate taraneasca, dar se impune prin inaltime si prin masivitate. Nu am prins nici o festivitate, dar merita vizitata cetatea mai ales in perioada cand se desfasoara evenimente cu tema medievala. Daca doresti o intoarcere in timp, o bucatica din istoria noastra dar si o desfatare a privirii cu peisaje de neuitat, NU uitati sa treceti pe lista dumneavoastra si Cetatea Taraneasca de la Rasnov. Merita!!!
